Meet Patricia

(she/her)

Hi there, I’m Patricia (she/her)! I love all things creative and nature, and I often pick up a new hobby every month or so (currently, I am all about plants and audiobooks). When I am not taking care of my plants or listening to a novel, I also enjoy yoga and running (but not big runs. The only run I’ve done was a “Hot Chocolate 5k” and I was definitely in it for the chocolate and friends). I also love hosting brunch at my home (give me all the homemade pancakes and pao de queijo to fill my belly!). There is just something so energizing and connecting about fresh coffee and making food with the friends I love and care about. We always love letting the kids help with the pancakes; a little more mess is worth it to see how proud they are of their creation. Aside from hobbies and yummy food, I absolutely love spending the day at the museums.

So why am I a therapist? I love walking through the hard seasons my clients are walking through, right alongside them. There is something so powerful about getting to be in the hard, the anxious, and the overwhelming times with them, and to get to journey through it to the other side. My clients are deep feelers. They experience the trials and triumphs of life in a deep and connecting way. My clients are strong, empathic, and compassionate, which sometimes leads to exhaustion and overwhelm. I love getting to see their strength rise up and help them see themselves as the brave individuals they are.

After 11 years of working with children, teens, adults, parents, and families, I have developed an expertise in working with neurodivergent, sensitive and very anxious people that are desiring to grow in their strength. I have experience working with neurodivergent and LGBTQ population. I am a strong advocate for each of my clients and I can truly say that I love the work I do.

Therapy in your language

I was born in Brazil and moved to the US in 2003. I am fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and enjoy working with clients in all three of these languages. When I came to the US, I moved to Miami, Fl and was immersed in a culture that was rich in the Spanish language. After being in Miami for 11 years, I learned Spanish as a means for communicating and connecting with my neighbors, co-workers, and friends. Many clients I work with desire therapy in their native language and they appreciate my understanding of their culture. Even when we are fluent in a second language, there are experiences and moments that can only be fully expressed in your native language. These are the moments I love being able to provide for my clients.
